    1936-1937 On the job aviation training, in high school, at the Hoey Air Service, La Guardia Airport, New York.

    1940-1945 Served in the US Marine Corps, aviation duty.

    1941 Attended the Naval Aviation School at Naval Air Station Jacksonville Florida.

    1946-1950 Obtained Aeronautical Engineering Degree from the Polytechnic Institute of New York.

    1951 Worked at Curtiss Wright as a jet engine test engineer

    1951-1952 Worked for General Electric on Project Hermes studying and testing captured German rockets. (About seven years before the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) was created by President Eisenhower.)

    1954-1969 Worked for Martin Marietta on their rocket programs such as the Viking, Vanguard, Titan I, Titan II, and Titan III. (The Vanguard and Titan III were designed by my group, among many others.)

    Briefed the Stewart Committee, the committee that selected the Vanguard as the first earth satellite.
