My husband Al (deceased) loved flying his whole life. In 1933 when he was four years old, his father Alex got his private pilot license and Al flew with him and was fascinated with flying.
In 1944 at age 17, he started flying lessons in a piper J-3 and during his flying for pleasure, flew an Ercoupe, Taylorcraft, Aeronca C-3, Pa22-108, Aeronca 74C, Piper Pa-12, Ryan STR, and Cessna 150. From 10-4-1970 till the day he died he flew hi own Cessna 120. He died after flying to Whitford's Airport, where
He flew for Sat. and Sun. breakfast, at the door of the restaurant. He was blessed doing what he loved tilt the end.
