Honored by:
Christopher Shaw's interest in Space exploration started early when he dreamed of becoming an astronaut. In high school was involved in Air Force Junior ROTC and attended Space Academy in Huntsville, Alabama. Mr. Shaw obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. Meanwhile, he obtained his private pilot's license. Going on to get his instrument rating, Mr. Shaw applied to the Astronaut Program for the first time at the age of only 26.
