    Mr. Lamboy was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico in August 9, 1925. In 1944, he went to study aviation maintenance at Curtiss Wright Technical Institute in Glendale, CA. After he graduated from Curtiss Wright, he went to work as a licensed aviation mechanic for Pacific Airmotive Corp. and later with Lockheed Aircraft Co. in Burbank, CA. In 1946, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and became a rated aviation mechanic.
    In 1948, Mr. Lamboy went to Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK, where he obtained the Commercial Pilot License. In 1950, he reenlisted in the U.S. Navy and retired in 1968. At this time, he worked for some airlines and the Puerto Rico Air National Guard. In 1974, he initiated studies at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL, where he obtained the BS degree and later the Master of Aviation Management.
    In 1978, Mr. Lamboy obtained a position as Director of Aviation at World University in San Juan, Puerto Rico to develop a college level aviation program. This was the first College Level Aviation Program in Puerto Rico. In 1985, he was hired as Director for the development of the Airway Science Program at Inter American University of Puerto Rico. Mr. Lamboy was responsible for the construction and development of the School of Aeronautics at this institution.
    In January 1998, he retired and became a part-time Professor of Aviation. At present, Mr. Lamboy is teaching, writing a book about the history of aviation in Puerto Rico and as always, promoting aviation through education.
