Mr. Neil J. Barkin
Murray Barkin became enamored with flying as an aerial reconnaissance photographer in New Guinea during WW II. Post war he used his GI Bill stipend to obtain a private pilot's license in seaplanes. He eventually owned his own plane, which he flew out of Republic airport on Long Island. His closest friends up until his death were his flying compatriots.
