Lead bombardier on a B-26 Martin Marauder medium bomber. Assigned to the 587th Bomb Squadron of the 394th Bomb Group of the 9th Air Force. Attained 31 missions over Europe. In addition to the Distinguished Flying Cross was awarded six Air Medals.
