Oren has flown many different planes (wheels, floats, skis and amphibians) in Alaska since 1948. He did charter flights, mostly in a Super Widgeon for the U. S. G. S. for 17 summers measuring and testing water in many rivers and streams besides 16 year mail contract in the Iliamna Lake area.
