    LCDR Philip Bruce Wallace US Army/US Navy (Retired)

    LCDR Wallace had 22 years of combined service in the Army and the Navy as a helicopter pilot. During his Army career he served in Korea and Vietnam flying UH-1 Iroquois (Huey) helicopters. For his service in the Vietnam War, Phil was the recipient of 33 air medals 1 for Valor, 2 Distinguished Flying Crosses, and a Purple Heart. After transitioning to the Navy in 1974, he served as a flight instructor at the United States Military Training Mission (USMTM) in Saudi Arabia. During Operation Earnest Will (1987-1988), he was detachment Officer-in-Charge flying escort for U.S. merchant shipping. Phil phased out the SH-2 Seasprite helicopters and was one of the first to fly the SH-60 Seahawk. After retiring from military service, Phil continued to work with helicopters as a Systems Engineer for PCI in Virginia Beach, VA and CSCI in Springfield, Virginia in support of the H-60 program office.
