    Raymond Joseph Frisbie worked in the Aerospace Industry from 1966 to 1976, mainly with The Bendix Corporation, Aerospace Systems Division in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This division designed, manufactured, and tested scientific instrumentation packages that were deployed for use during the Apollo Missions from Apollo 11 to 17.

    He was a key contributor to the ALSEP Program's [Apollo Lunar Surface Experiments Package] successful development and delivery to NASA. He served for 5 years as the Bendix Aerospace Division Manufacturing Liaison Engineer for the ALSEP Program. In this capacity he was responsible for troubleshooting issues and discrepancies between part/equipment drawings, finished products, and manufacturing procedures. He was also approved by NASA to be an active member of the Materials Review Board and the Change Control Board.

    During this period he was 30 to 35 years old, and he has always described this period as the highlight of his career. He traveled to the Cape numerous times to meet with the NASA Team and got to know a number of the astronauts on a personal basis, including Pete Conrad, Alan Bean, and Jim Lovell.

    The pinnacle of his career came in January 1970 when he was presented with the Silver Snoopy Award for his significant achievements and contributions to the Manned Space Flight Programs of the United States.

    He has many fond memories of his time working on the Apollo missions and has shared many stories which have defined the legacy of this period of his life with his family and friends.

    Raymond left a permanent mark on his children through his dedication, perseverance, tremendous work ethic, which he passed along to each of us.

    His wife Carol, and his six children; Joyce, Teresa, Kevin, Kristy, Regina, and Patrick are all tremendously proud of him and his accomplishments.
