    Richard Lloyd was born on January 14, 1929 in Alhambra California where he lived with his family until enlisting in the USAF in September 1948. Mr. Lloyd was assigned to Base Aircraft Operations, serving through the Korean conflict, ultimately achieving the rank of SSgt and receiving an honorable discharge in September 1952.
    Mr. Lloyd began his civilian career with American Airlines in 1955 at Los Angeles International Airport working in station operations. In 1962, Mr. Lloyd was assigned City Supervisor responsible for Ontario (ONT) and Palm Springs (PSP) airports and was instrumental in developing both locations into viable and profitable locations for American Airlines until his retirement in 19S3.
    In 1987, Mr. Lloyd joined the City of Los Angeles Department of Airports, assigned to ONT as an Airport Operations Coordinator and he was promoted to the position of Superintendent of Operations I and II before retiring in May 2004.
    Mr. Lloyd is a private pilot with over 38 years flying experience.
