Captain Robert C. M. Pelletier distinguished himself by extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight on 18 February 1969 as a Combat Infantry Control Officer of an EC-121R reconnaissance aircraft in Southeast Asia. On that date, Captain Pelletier’s accurate analysis of vital intelligence and the expedient transmission of this information resulted in the destruction of a large supply storage center. The outstanding and highly professional ability demonstrated by Captain Pelletier enabled the collection of intelligence vital to the survival of friendly forces in the area.
