Honored by:
Active duty Dec. 16, 1943 to Sept 1, 1974. Graduated from pilot training and commissioned 2nd Lt. Oct. 16, 1945. Flew mostly fighters. Korean War combat tour in F-86 Sabres in 1950-1951. Vietnam War combat tour in F-4 Phantoms in 1968-1969. Retired from USAF in Sept 1974 after 30 years of service. My favorite fighters were P-51 Mustang, the F-86 Sabre, and the F-4 Phantom.
