Born 11 December 1951, E. St Louis, IL. As a youngster would stand for hours on end of runway watching planes land at airports. Later took flying lessons. Became a private pilot, secured his instrument rating. A graduate of flight safety training.

Currently owns and pilots a 1999 Mooney Ovation. Has flown the Piper Archer, Piper Warrior, Piper Tomahawk, Piper Saratoga, Beech Bonanza, Mooney TLS Bravo, and now Mooney ovation.

A member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, Piper Owners' Society, American Bonanza Society, Air Force Association, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Rhode Island Pilots' Association, Mooney Aircraft Pilots Association, and the Bendix King Club. A WingsVIII (eight) award recipient.
