    Rodney was born in Detroit Lake, Minnesota, April 17th, 1934. His family moved to Everett, WA when Rodney was age nine. He attended Everett Schools, graduating High School in 1952. Rod was always interested in flying and made many model planes. He was assistant manager at Newberry's stores in Everett for several years. Rod obtained his private pilot's license while working for Coca Cola, Frito-Lay and also as a route salesperson for Gil's Bakery. Rod loved sailing and flying at any opportunity. He loved working with his hands and was in the process of building an ultra-lite when he succumbed to Heart Failure at age 71, on July 14, 2005. Rod will be missed and lovingly remembered by Family and Friends. Submitted by W. Jay Plank
