    Enlisted in United States Air Force August 12, 1962. Performed in various positions in avionics maintenance throughout Air Force career. Most notable positions as Maintenance Superintendent for the EF-111A during development testing and as a Logistics Test & Evaluation Manager assigned to the Air Force Test & Evaluation Center during the acquisition of various electronic warfare systems including the EF-111 A, F-4G Wild Weasel (APR-38), and Airborne Self Protection Jammer (ASPJ). Retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant (E-8) on 1 May 1983.
    Joined Grumman Aerospace Corporation as a Logistics Engineer upon retirement from the Air Force. Employed by Grumman as a Logistics Engineer/Support Analyst on such programs as the EF-111A Tactical Jamming System, A-6E Systems Weapons Improvement Program, the Integrated Family of Test Equipment (IFTE), and the F-15 Downsize Tester. Continued in Logistics Engineering/Support Analyst capacity with Northrop Grumman Corporation on such programs as the E-8C Joint STARS aircraft and the E-10A Multi-role aircraft.
