China, Burma, India theatre of operations between March, 1945 and February, 1946. Radio operator on C-46s in the 4th Combat Cargo group. From Chittagong, India, flew combat supplies to the British 14th Army in Burma. After the fall of Rangoon, flew gasoline from Myitkyina, Burma to Chinese Nationalist Army in Kunming, China. Sixty-five round trip flights over the Hump. Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. Central Burma and China Offensive Battle Stars.
