Taught at Oregon State University, Portland State University, University of Oklahoma, and Texas A&M University. Received local and national awards for teaching and as faculty advisor for American institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).

Received certificates of appreciation from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for participation in several design programs. Was director of low-speed wind tunnel tests done at Texas A&M University on three models of the Space Shuttle and on a returnable booster for the Shuttle.
