Mr. Chris Adkisson
Mark Adkisson was born on May 7, 1921 in Roseville, Illinois. He had an avid interest in aviation.
He joined the Army Air Corps on July 3, 1940, and served as a B-17 crew chief until separating from the Air Corps November 23, 1945, was recalled to the Air Force in 1950-1952 during the Korean conflict as a crew chief on A-26s.
Mark was a wonderful father to three sons and husband. If he were still alive today, he would be an avid supporter of this Air & Space Museum and its mission. ?– In his memory, his name has been placed on the Wall of Honor.
