    Robin Hamilton & Mark Falzone

Vincent Martin Falzone was born on December 6, 1937 in Boston, Massachusetts. He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 through 1960. Growing up, he demonstrated a high aptitude for mechanics, a talent he easily transferred after enlisting.
After basic training, he was sent to Amarillo, Texas for maintenance training on fighter jets. While there, his skills were so exemplary, he ranked in the top 10 percentile of the training class. As a result, he was selected to train at Biggs Air Force Base in El Paso, Texas as part of the Strategic Air Command (SAC) on B-47 bombers, and was assigned to the 96th Bomb Wing, with the 338th Bomb Squadron in Altus, Oklahoma. The 96th Bomb Wing was transferred to Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas.
He was elevated to Airman 2nd Class with SAC, and worked on B-47 bombers, the long range six engine jets that broke speed and distance records.
Falzone often served as an acting crew chief, both in alert duty and line service, performing tours of duty in Guam, Fairbanks, Alaska, and Zaragoza, Spain. Although he qualified for Staff Sergeant and was offered to train on B-52s, Falzone decided to enter the private sector.
After leaving the military, Falzone would earn a degree in business adminstration from Northeastern University and have a successful career with General Electric, where his expertise, training, and raw talent were drawn upon. Starting as a machinist manufacturing jet engine parts, Falzone worked his way up at GE with stops at sheetmetal parts and research & development. Falzone’s next promotion was as a Planner, where he wrote the plans to fix jet engine parts and manufacture the necessary tools. He ended his 37-year career in management as a repair analyst where he designed repairs for GE's customers.
Vin married Phyllis Barbara Mazzarella on August 27, 1972 in Revere, Massachusetts. After the birth of their son, Mark Vincent Falzone, in 1975, they settled in Saugus, Massachusetts in 1978.
Vincent Martin Falzone passed away on January 15, 2020.
