Mr. Warren T. LeMaster was a proud veteran of WW II.

Although his flight plans were limited to U.S. coastal airspace, he was an integral part of the United States defense.
Warren was a belly-turret gunner on the B-17 bomber. His duties included flying missions off the Florida coast for U boat detection.
One would assume this is where he coined the phrase ”You’re the gunner” when making decisions with his beloved wife Nita.
His passion for flight was contagious as well. His son Michael became an Army helicopter pilot. Michaels name is honored among the fallen during Vietnam.

After the war, Warren utilized his aircraft knowledge to further his career in aerospace. He began working in the aircraft supply industry.
Warren spent many years learning the ins and outs of the aircraft industry. In September 1984 he started his own company, Alpha Aerospace Hardware, in Texas.
His company took pride in servicing the world of aircraft and aerospace. Clients included the likes of General Dynamics, Boeing, Sikorsky and NASA.

Warren dedicated a large part of his life to all things flight related.
His name bestowed on the Air & Space Museum monument is a true reflection of the spirit of flight.
