My father flew with the Air Force and full time Air National Guard from 1954 until retirement in 1986. The list of aircraft which he piloted are as follows: T28, T33, F-84, F-86, F-100, B-50, C-97, and C-130. He had thousands of hours in both the C-97 and C-130. He was well thought of by the people who worked and flew with him. He fought forest fires with the C-130 (Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System (MAFFS) equipped), a very dangerous mission, for many years as well.
