B.S. Aeronautical Engineering, University of Notre Dame, 1959. Joined Pratt & Whitney in February, 1960 as an experimental test engineer. Worked on the 1st turbofan jet engine – the JT30, TF33-P7 (military version), and later on the TF30 engine for the F111 and A7 aircraft. Joined the Military Sales Department in 1966 and became Director of Technology Sales in 1970. Became a Director in Airline Sales in 1972. Joined IAE (International Aero Engines) in 1984 as Director of Sales – Americas, and then appointed to Vice President of Sales and Customer Support – Americas. Was responsible for over $7.5 billion in sales of the V2500 engine – including ILFC (International Lease Financing Corporation), United, JetBlue, America West, TACA, TAM, and Lan Chile Airlines.
