Artistic Expression in the First World War

Ask an Expert Live

Join us as we observe Veteran's Day with an Ask an Expert on Facebook Live about our Artist Soldiers: Artistic Expression in the First World War exhibition. The exhibition examines artistic expression of war from two complementary perspectives: soldiers who created artwork, and professional combat artists recruited by the U.S. Army. Join us on Facebook Live as chief curator Peter Jakab talks about the exhibition, which features largely never-before-seen artwork that shed light on World War I in a compelling and very human way.

Planning to attend in-person? Meet in the Artist Soldiers exhibition.

Every Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. we will go live on the National Air and Space Museum Facebook page with an Ask an Expert talk. We’ll select a different aviation or space topic each week, and a Museum staff member will discuss the history, stories, or personalities related to a specific artifact or exhibition in the Museum. Tune in on Facebook Live each week to join the talk and ask our experts questions.
