Note: This program is designed for teachers and educators to incorporate Museum content into their lesson plans.
Aircraft carriers are an amazing feat of engineering and have now been a part of our nation’s history for a century. Learn how these impressive ships first came to be and how they were designed to achieve otherwise impossible air travel. Take a deep dive into the science, engineering, and math involved in safely launching and landing planes on a ship, and talk to an aircraft carrier navigator. Participants will leave with ready-to-implement, interdisciplinary resources.
This professional development session is free but participants must register. Participants who sign up will be sent a Zoom link at least two days before the session. Sign up.
