You can make a helmet just like the Apollo or Artemis astronauts.

What You'll  Need:

  • A paper bag
  • Scissors
  • Optional: Makers, crayons, or sticker to decorate

1. Draw a square or oval on the paper bag.

This will be what you see through.

2. Cut out the square.

Tip: To cut the middle but not the rest of the bag, pinch in the center of the astronaut window. Cut the pinch to get started.

3. Try on your helmet.

If the helmet is too long, you can cut some of the extra off the bottom.

4. Decorate!

Think about what might be helpful to have an astronaut helmet. A camera? Temperature control?

We want to hear from you!
