Bell X-1 Lowered to the Floor of Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall

Staff work to secure the Bell X-1 on a metal frame after lowering it to the floor of the Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall. The aircraft will be lowered and conserved as part of a larger project to renovate the Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall in time for the Museum's 40th anniversary in 2016.
