After a nearly year-long project to restore the Apollo Telescope Mount, the artifact was put back on display in late 2015. The project, worked on primarily by senior docent and restoration volunteer Scott Willey, required applying nearly 30.5 meters (100 feet) of new black Kapton® sheets and custom-made tapes.
