The first Space Shuttle orbiter Enterprise is transferred from the Rockwell International assembly facility in Palmdale, CA to  Edwards Air Force Base on January 31, 1977. It was moved via road at 3 mph aboard a 90-wheel transporter.  Photo courtesy Edwards AFB.
