    The plywood on the German all-wing, jet-propelled Horten H IX V3 is show in this cross-section photomicrograph of the Horten's plywood alternating with what appears to be two different adhesives. Conservation Fellow Peter McElhinney used this photomicrograph to identify the plywood as European beech (Fagus sylvatica).
