HawkEye 360-Garamba Signals Data Map
HawkEye 360 satellites detected and geolocated signals at various locations and times when there were no known rangers, visitors, or collared animals present at Garamba National Park. The locations were often near rivers where wildlife gathers for water and poachers traditionally kill elephants. The data provided warnings to rangers where they might focus resources to improve protection of elephants in these areas.
