This image from the Mars rover Opportunity shows clouds in the Martian sky. The thin atmosphere of Mars allows temperatures on the planet to swing from 68 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius) on the planet’s warmest days near the equator to –58 degrees Fahrenheit (-50 degrees Celsius) at night.
