The 1903 Wright Flyer is lowered from its hanging position in the National Air and Space Museum's Milestones of Flight Gallery, Sept. 24, 2003. The world's first airplane was moved upstairs to be the centerpiece of "The Wright Brothers & The Invention of the Aerial Age," which opened Oct. 11.
