Senior Aeronautics Curator, Tom Crouch, with the Vaniman lifeboat that was donated to the National Air and Space Museum by Goodyear.

The lifeboat was used in two attempts to cross the Atlantic by the airships "America" in 1910 and "Akron" in 1912.
