    This image of the Sun's chromosphere was taken at 12:05 PM on Monday, November 14, 2011.  

    Telescope/filter: Lunt 100mm Hydrogen-alpha telescope

    Camera: Lumenera SKYnyx 2-2M 

    The large filament (dark line extending diagonally toward top left of the image) had been more than 1 million km long over the weekend, but snapped earlier in the day on Nov. 14 and was about one-third as long when this image was taken.
