Challenging learners by asking big questions

The Bezos Learning Center is inspiring learners through online challenges, activities held across the country, and soon, at a word-class education center alongside the Museum in Washington, DC.

Set against a purple sky, the previous building that takes the space of the Bezos Learning Center is mostly demolished. Only some scaffolding remains.

Future of the Bezos Learning Center

Currently under construction, the Bezos Learning Center will be state-of-the-art education center, adjoining the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC.

Educators will be able to reserve free experiences that inspire students to pursue STEAM innovation and help teachers use Smithsonian’s collections.

Involving Students in the Design

Undergraduate and graduate architecture and design students participated in a nation-wide challenge to help design the center. After a challenge, a team of architectural students was selected to be paid members of the design team.
