Cheers to astronomy! With our friends from Astronomy on Tap, the National Air and Space Museum is bringing you an evening of science, education, refreshments, and fun. At this inaugural AirSpace on Tap event, enjoy lightning round talks themed to Solar Maximum — the period when the Sun is most active.

During the evening’s program, guests can:

  • Listen to astronomy talks from four guest speakers
  • Play astronomy BINGO while listening for keywords from our speakers
  • Test their Sun knowledge
  • Chat with astronomy educators
  • Explore open galleries
  • Enjoy light refreshments (first come, first served)

Guest Speakers:

  • Emily Rice, associate professor of astrophysics, Macaulay Honors College of the City University of New York
  • Teresa Monsue, astro/heliophysicist, Catholic University of America  and NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center
  • Graham Kerr, solar physicist, Catholic University of America  and NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center

Drinks, including beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, will be available for purchase. This event is free, but tickets are required. Doors open at 6 pm, and talks begin at 6:30 pm.

This program is for guests 21 or older. Guests must present a valid ID for entry.
