The Wall of Honor is a permanent memorial located at the entrance to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA.
Wall of Honor gifts range from $100 to $10,000 and the size of the lettering increases with each donation level.
- $100 Friend- 3/16” letters
- $500 Sponsor- 1/2” letters
- $1,000 Leader- 5/8” letters
- $5,000 Benefactor- 3/4" letters
- $10,000 Patron- 1” letters
Names are added to the Wall of Honor three times per year, approximately every four months. Search for your honoree at any time to check the status. Please note that names are first added in vinyl. Once a panel is filled with names, the vinyl is removed and the names are engraved.
The Wall of Honor certificates are standard 8.5 inches by 11 inches and are suitable for framing.
Name listings are limited to 30 characters, including spaces and punctuation.
After you have added a name to the Wall of Honor, you may submit a profile by emailing it to WallOfHonor@si.edu. We recommend approximately 500 words and we can include one photograph. Browse sample profiles here. To update an existing profile, please email the updated text and/or photo to WallOfHonor@si.edu.
You can search for a location online at any time. Alternatively, you can stop by the John L. Plueger Family Welcome Center inside the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center for assistance.
If the name has not yet been installed or if the name is listed in vinyl, we can upgrade the listing to another size. Please contact WallOfHonor@si.edu if you are interested in upgrading a listing. If the name has already been engraved, we will not be able to upgrade the listing.
Yes. On the donation form, please select “The Honoree is Someone else that I am honoring.” Then, select to mail the certificate to “me at my address,” “my honoree at their address,” or “someone other than my honoree.”
Please allow three weeks to receive your acknowledgment letter and certificate.
Yes, your contribution may be entirely tax-deductible.
Yes, we can assign consecutive locations on the Wall of Honor. After you have submitted the donations to add the names, please email WallofHonor@si.edu to confirm the order in which you would like for the names to be listed.
