In 2024, the Museum completed all gallery designs for its National Mall renovation and is on track to open five new and reimagined galleries in summer 2025. Both locations, in Washington, DC, and the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, in Chantilly, ranked in the top 20 North American museums by attendance. The Museum hosted record-breaking events, reached more than 100,000 people with virtual and in-person tours, launched a digital youth challenge, added 239 artifacts, and facilitated over 250 artifact loans.
